Browser Wars Warm Up, Slightly
OneStat.com have released a new survey that shows Internet Explorer's share dropping to less than 89% - 5% less than in May. FireFox now has almost 5% of the market, and that figure is growing. But the growth shouldn't alarm Microsoft at the moment despite all that free publicity Firefox has been given this past year. Let's face it, the average joe doesn't really care which browser they use - just as long as it's Internet Explorer.
Mozilla's browsers have a total global usage share of 7.35 percent. The new Mozilla's Firefox has a total usage share of 4.58. The total usage share of Mozilla was 2.1 percent at the end of May. Microsoft's Internet Explorer still dominates the global browser market with a global usage share of 88,90 percent which is 5 percent less as at the end of May.
