LAF

Hewlett-Packard have teamed with Advanced Micro Devices to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF). Proceeds from the sale of the new HP Special Edition L2000, 'Livestrong', laptop will go to support the LAF.

The Special Edition laptop will feature the Livestrong logo and a copy of Armstrong's autograph on the keyboard. HP will also include a yellow Livestrong wristband, packaged with yellow stereo ear buds, with every laptop.

The 64-bit machine is powered by AMD's Turion 64 processor and sports up to a 80 gig harddrive and a 14-inch wide-screen. It's also equipped with a FireWire port, three USB ports and a 6-in-1 digital media reader.

Funds raised from the sale of the L2000, including $50 per sale from HP and a 'committed' $4 million over two years from AMD, will go to support LAF activities including advocacy, research and education.

Prices for the Livestrong Laptop will start at $999 after rebate.
